WHAT WE BELIEVE

THE WORD

The Bible was made by humans, but directed by GOD. He orchestrated every word, and because of this we shouldn't take it with a grain of salt, but the whole salt shaker. It is His word, and we should treat it as such.

2 Timothy 3:16–17

GOD THE FATHER, SON, AND HOLY SPIRIT BEING ONE.

God, Son, Holy Spirit, all distinct persons but all one. This is the Trinity and is the staple of the Christian faith. There is 1 God in 3 distinct persons.

JESUS FULLY MAN, FULLY GOD

Jesus became fully man, and remained fully God. He experienced hunger, pain, grief, but unlike us never sinned.

SALVATION

Jesus died on the cross. Whoever turns from their sin and repents, will be saved from hell and join the family of believers we call the church.

Romans 10:9 · John 3:16 · 1 Corinthians 15:3

BAPTISM

Baptism is an outward expression of what Jesus did for us inwardly. It’s a time for us believers to celebrate what Jesus has done on your heart. We believe it’s a symbol of what happened, not an action that saves us. It is commanded for believers, but you won’t lose your salvation if you don’t.

Acts 2:38 · Matthew 28:19–20 · Romans 6:3–4 · Acts 16:30–31 · Luke 23:39–43

CHURCH AND COMMUNITY

We are called to be in a body of believers. We are called to be in a church, but also have a group of people to share experiences, learn from, and foster Godly brotherhood.

Hebrews 10:24–25 · John 13:34–35 · Romans 12:10 · 1 Corinthians 12:12–27

LIVE FOR JESUS

We are called to live with good works, not that it saves us, but because it’s what Jesus did. Because it shows who we follow.

Luke 9:23 · John 14:15 · 2 Timothy 2:19 · 1 John 2:6

EVANGELIZE

Jesus calls us to evangelize, to live on mission, to be fishers of men. This applies to everyone, not just pastors or missionaries. At your work, school, even at your favorite coffee shop.

Matthew 28:19–20 · Romans 10:14–15 · 2 Timothy 4:2 · 2 Corinthians 5:20 · Colossians 4:5–6
